Registering
Hiya
These boards are for members of the IWW only. In order to ensure our campaigns are not disrupted by employers and our members are not unfairly discriminated against we operate a membership screening. Dont worry, it doesnt hurt, much.
If you're a member of the IWW
Just please make sure that you register with the same email address that you gave for your contact details to your branch and we'll match them up, check your name and away you go. It does help if you leave a message here though to let us know if there's anyone waiting for thier account to be approved as we dont check the admin account all the time
If you're not a member but you would like to join
Good call!
Please get in touch with your nearest branch, or group and a delegate should get back to you to explain about the IWW and sign you up. I'm not going to promote the union too much, as I'm guessing that if you've come to an IWW message boards and want to join the IWW, then you've already got a pretty good idea how awesome an idea we've been onto since 1905
If you're having any issues getting in touch with your local branch/group I'm sure there's people here who would be happy to help in a pinch
Either that, or http://iww.org.uk/join if you fancy doing it yourself.
If you're not a member of the IWW and do not wish to join
Erm. Sorry. It's as simple as that I'm afraid. It's nothing to do with raising union dues, bieng sectarian, or that funny mole that everyone tries to be poliete about I promise you. It is down to security for the existing Wobblies, but so long as you're not somebody with the power to hire and fire workers and believe that workers deserve a better deal, then there's a Wobbly lurking in there waiting to get out. Wouldn't you reconsider joining?
